Dear Fellow Supports of the Mountain State,
Greetings and welcome to another Washington summer! Be sure grab your bathing suits and get out of the heat for a few minutes. Better yet, join the State Society for the annual celebration of West Virginia’s birthday. The event on June 16th is sure to be a blast. For those of you that attended last year’s event, you remember that the WV Division of Tourism was a terrific event sponsor, providing decorations, “goodie” bags, and refreshments. This year, partnered with the Department of Agriculture, the Tourism folks plan to outdo themselves with food and wine produced in the Mountain State! To add even more excitement, our special guest will be the First Lady of West Virginia, Gayle Manchin! We hope to see you on Capitol Hill! (read the rest)

It is my privilege to serve as the President of the West Virginia State Society. Today the West Virginia State Society’s objective remains the same as years past, to encourage and promote good fellowship among West Virginians of the Nation's Capital area and to promote, in a nonpartisan way, the best interests of our Nation and the State of West Virginia. I look forward to meeting many new friends of West Virginia who live in the Washington, D.C. area. (read the rest)
